Forbes came out with their annual list of the 100 most powerful women in the world. The usual suspects were near the top: Michelle Obama, Hilary Clinton… German Chancellor Angela Merkel was #1. But where were the sexy ladies at?
It turns out there were several of them amongst the politicians, business women, and leaders in philanthropy.
Beyonce Knowles
Beyonce lands at number 32 on the list based her work with the Obama Administration’s “Get Moving” campaign, the National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation, and her recent partnership with the U.N. for World Humanitarian Day.
Jennifer Lopez
J-Lo grabbed the 38th spot thanks to her work with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and her own charitable organization the Lopez Family Foundation.
Shakira
Shakira, at number 40, is a UNICEF ambassador and the founder of the Barefoot Foundation, created to to improve early education around the world.
Angelina Jolie
U.N. Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie grabs the number 66 ranking this year after her Jolie-Pitt Foundation donated $2.3 million to charitable programs in 2010.
Sofia Vergara
The Modern Family star comes in at number 75 based on the fact that she is the co-owner of a media company, LatinWE, that focuses on the American Hispanic economy.
Gisele Bundchen
Legendary supermodel and wife of NFL star Tom Brady is ranked number 83 based on her work as an ambassador for the United Nations Environmental Program and the fact that she donated $1 million to the Japanese Red Cross for earthquake relief.
