Jason Aldean and Lady Antebellum to Announce 2012 CMA Awards Nominees on ‘Good Morning America’

On Sept. 5, Lady Antebellum and Jason Aldean will gather in New York City to take on ‘Good Morning America,’ where they will announce the final nominees for the 2012 CMA Awards. The popular country stars will take to a live national stage to share the big news during a 30-minute segment on the morning news program.

While on the show, Aldean and Lady A will reveal potential winners for some categories before heading to B.B. King’s Blues Club and Grill to announce finalists for the remaining seven categories. Both country acts have been quick to admit that the CMA Awards are special to them, and it’s an honor to have the opportunity to announce the nominees for the 2012 event.

“The CMA Awards are ‘Country Music’s Biggest Night,’ and it’s something that all of us look forward to all year. From the day the nominations are announced up until the show, there’s a lot of build-up and anticipation for the awards and also for the performances,” Aldean explains in a statement. “I feel honored to be able to help make the nominations announcement on ‘Good Morning America,’ and hopefully I’ll get to read some of my friends’ names that morning.”

Adds Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley, “I’ll never forget our first CMA nomination and what that felt like. The CMAs have been really good to us.”

It’s been a banner year for country music, and the 2012 CMA Awards will likely be no exception. I think the 3 guaranteed would be Kenny, Taylor, and Jason. Brad will probably make it as well do to his tour and the final spot is between Lady A, Carrie, Blake and Zac Brown Band for who gets it. I'd say Tim, Eric Church, and Luke Bryan are the long shots of being nominated.

They win it every year but probably. I'd much rather see ZBB win they've been one of the top groups as well and deserve to win something after all this time however with that said I think the only one that has a chance at beating Lady A would be the Band Perry.

No. I bet Taylor for next year's CMAs. Touring won't be a factor this time on her and she was much more quite this year compared to last year.
