I'm not even much of a Gaga fan (she's had a couple of catchy songs, but is hardly the profound songstress that I've seen a lot of people make her out to be), but even people that hate her should be able to at least admit her talent and voice. I'm baffled why she even bothers using autotune as well as she doesn't need to.
Talent wise, she's also a clear step above most, and in fact, while I think she ripped off much of her persona (there's a woman that she used to work with that she ripped a bunch from although I guess you could consider it an homage since the woman is dead; plus I can't think of anything that she's done that people like Alice Cooper and Madonna [oh and maybe say GWAR, haha] didn't do [decades] before), and I think a lot of her music is derivative and formulaic, her execution is still basically top notch (and considering just how bad execution has gotten in pop music lately, its sadly even more apparent).
I could see hating the persona and even the music, but come on.
Call me crazy, but I thought the Lady Gaga interview was pretty good. I figured she's come in with a hollywood 'high and mighty' attitude but found her very intriguing and open with most topics. I liked the story behind the song she sang about her grandfather dying.
I'm also in the minority of people who would REALLY give it to her like never before. I find her extremely sexy. She doesn't have a ridiculous body and she's not "hot", in the typical sense, but her 'I dont give a **** what you think of my outfit' attitude is a big turn on to me. Plus, she IS a good singer, you can't deny that. I love it when a chic excels at something. Singing, sports, whatever. I like it.
Plus, you have to figure she's a real **** in the sheets and likes to party Charlie Sheen style.
