A video for the song was expected to premiere sometime in December 2006. Unfortunately, both Rihanna's and Sean Paul's labels said there will be no music video for the song.
It's OK, Break It Off doesn't need a video to be successful.
I mean, Top 10 on the Hot 100 without a video?
I know some songs with a video that cannot/couldn't do that.
I love this song and I'd love it even more with a video, but it's OK to me at least.
I thought her label wasn't gonna release the download after twelve weeks charting as an Album Cut.
Def Jam has announced thta Rihanna's third album would be dropping during the 4th Quarter of 07', so this makes perfect sense, even if it is a waste of a single.
BAD move. I hate that labels think that singles can just be promoted without a video. To me, I usually remember and picture a song by it's video. PR is better that way. I believe that this song, although going Top 10, could have been MUCH better had there been correct timing, PR, and a video release.
