Kurt Vonnegut (1922-2007); Fox News to piss on grave
Hi. I don't know if anyone else has touched on this elsewhere on the forum since I simply don't have TIME to check all the posts on the forum right now, but I want to show you what is happening to some of the athletes who entertain us with their athletics.
Yeah, people be getting ****ed up, no?
It figures that on a day in which I should be waking up for work in six hours that I instead choose to write a blog on a message board where I haven't been a regular since...2005? I'm not even sure when I was a regular. Yeah, it's been awhile.
Some songs I'm feeling right now:
Fall Out Boy "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs"
Bloc Party "Hunting for Witches"
Justin Timberlake "What Goes Around...Comes Around"
Dresden Dolls "Girl Anachronism"
The Used "The Back of Your Mouth"
I suppose I could comment on Britney Spears shaving her head, but haven't you heard enough about her? I'll side with Craig Ferguson and say the most by not saying anything at all.
Go see The Number 23. You owe it to yourself to become obsessed with this number. Try not connecting it to a billion things in your life once the closing credits roll. Unless you hate it as much as seemingly every movie critic in the country did.
Seeing a good movie definitely gets me excited for future movies that will hopefully be just as good, if not better:
Wild Hogs (seriously)
Black Snake Moan
Zodiac
Reign Over Me
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Blades of Glory
oh, and 300. As if I'd forget that movie. Save the best for last, no?
Crackdown is a really fun XBOX 360 game. No wonder it has "crack" in the title. But you know I'm all about God of War II and Guitar Hero 360 in the coming weeks. I just hope GH360 doesn't disappoint since there are rumors that the hammer on and pull off system has been tweaked (again), which might make certain songs impossible to five star or even pass. Sigh. Such a nerd for the plastic button smashing game.
Talk to me, people. Tell me what's going on with you since I probably barely know half of you.
Oh yeah, and the Pick 'Em tournament? Yeah, it's all me, baby. Going for two in a row, even though I don't even remember winning the one last year. Whoo!
Please stick around, dude. You have no idea how much you are missed around these parts.
The Livingston injury made me wince and rub my leg. Almost as bad as Sid's injury. And that little Pick'em? Yeah, this year, I fully intend on taking the throne for myself. I'm kinda tired of people hogging my glory.
A new five-pack of songs that I'm feeling right now:
Scissor Sisters "She's My Man"
Nas "Hip Hop is Dead"
OK Go "Do What You Want"
Amazing Crowns "Mr. Fix It"
Gym Class Heroes "Cupid's Chokehold" (again, I originally got hooked to this song when the first video came out a year ago; good to see everything has come full circle)
No, I'm not into WWE anymore, although I try to stay abreast of current events in the fed just in case I have to engage in a wrestling conversation with someone who thinks I watch as much wrestling as I used to. I still enjoy stuff like TNA and Dragon Gate, but anything else I don't want to or don't have time to watch.
I'm mostly into gaming now, specifically over XBox Live or playing Guitar Hero II, which will soon merge into one activity once GH360 comes out in less than 30 days(!).
Still watching LOST, falling behind on Prison Break, gave up on Desperate Housewives, wishing I could catch up with Heroes and 24 as far as TV goes. I don't know how many more previews of Prison Break, Heroes and 24 I can keep avoiding before I eventually get a major spoiler that will ruin me.
I'll cut myself off now before I get out of hand, considering I do have to wake up in five hours for work after all.
Good list, although not sure about Amazing Crowns. I'll have to get back to you on that one.
Kudos to you for avoiding any sort of spoilers. Hopefully you catch up on Prison Break, especially before some big spoiler.

That's exactly how I am now. When someone who knows that I have watched wrestling in the past comes up to me and wants to talk about wrestling, I always remember to read the various news sites to keep up with what's going on, but I don't have any desire to watch the current product. Unlike you, though, I don't care enough to watch any new wrestling. I basically stick to the older stuff now. I feel like an old relic just saying that, I know.
300 is coming out in less than a week. Giddy? You bet I am.
Avril Lavigne "Girlfriend" -- Are you kidding me? Perhaps if this was I Love The 80s IV and we were talking about Toni Basil, I might give half a ****. What an annoying song. Grow up, Avril.
Gwen--errr, Fergie "Luxuri---Glamorous" -- Stop doing a horrible version of Gwen Stefani's career, Fergie. Imagine my surprise when I listened to the clean version of this song and heard this line:
"All those things don't mean a thing"
Which is perhaps worse than "If you don't care/then we don't care" (Limp Bizkit "Rollin'")
So, I figured that she was just swearing in that line and they had to change it to something lame so all the young girls buying **** they don't need could use that as their theme song. But the explicit version? Same ****ing line. Ouch.
Mims "This Is Why I'm Hot" -- ...Seriously? Anyone else miss the old days when only the best of the best in rap got through? This song just decides to copy all the good parts from those songs and put a pitiful, stereotypical rap over it. Guess what? If you sample "Jesus Walks," you ****ing BETTER be rapping about something other than the usual ****. ****, man.
Christina Aguilera "Candyman" -- Cool as a commercial song, but I can't believe she actually released this as a single. Well, I can believe it, because pop radio likes to piss me off, but whatever.
Songs That I'm NOT Feeling Right Now/Rise Up Against Ann Coulter
"Coulter, however, did appear on Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes" three days after the Edwards remark and belittled the idea that it would do lasting damage to her. "It's a cycle," she said: she says something, "the same people become hysterical, and that's the end of it.""
So...people? If you're not going apeshit over the fact that Ann Coulter called a former Vice Presidential and current Presidential candidate a "******" and think that she honestly, truly was making a joke in reference to the Grey's Anatomy scandal earlier this year, perhaps the next time she does something inflammatory we should all find her, sit her down, and just take turns slapping the **** out of her.
Maybe then she'll try and make decent points instead of making decent points sandwiched in-between statements that she makes to get some more attention for herself.
