Err lol. For the record, Rihanna's latest music has been just as lightweight pop as Perry's music and unsurprisingly she is getting just as little critical acclaim. Only Girl winning a Grammy for Best Dance Recording doesn't mean she has critical acclaim btw, Stargate's effort won her that award.

Not by the critics, not by the grammy's pannel, not by people who buy albums.

Let's not pretend Rihanna has never done remixes to chart higher (S&M). Rihanna also achieved a lot of success by being featured on other people's songs (Love the Way You Lie, Live Your Life, Take Care) and having features on her songs (Drake on "What's My Name", Jay Z on "Umbrella"). So there goes that argument
