These are NOT rockstars. They are POP STARS. They don't make rock music, they don't get play on rock radio, and they don't get respect from the rock community.

Gurl, fun. is the only moderately rock act thats huge right now. No Doubt and AAR are small but still somewhat present. Rock ain't dead.

You guys are taking this too seriously. He just means which one has the rockstar personality. Rock is a huge, ambiguous genre. Not musically, but the classic 80s rock icon type eccentricity. Rockstar =/= making rock music. Rock 30 years ago was pop, anyway.

Having said that Gaga actually incorporates a fair amount of rock inspired tracks in her albums. Moreso than other pop girl.

I think he knows they make pop music, he didn't mean "rock star" as "famous rock singers", but their lifestyle, I think?
