I think you're right about HAC, but I'm just not sure her label can pull off Top 40 unfortunately. We'll see, I guess. If it gets an adds date anything can happen.

If they don't send this ****ing song to pop, I swear I will sue them for making me waste my calories to request it on pop

anw, BA can't reach #1 yet in the 3rd week of September, so it will fight on both country and HAC at the same time. It will help the overall position in Hot 100
|
yeah some of them do (taylor comes first on my mind) , others don't (Just A Kiss was released there after peaking on Country).
This move will help its sales anyway, the adult formats >

"Just A Kiss" slayed I think it ended up with over 100m AI across all formats. Did it get a Top 40 adds date?

I'm not sure if it had an adds date, but anyway it performed moderately on Pop, peaking at #21. And no, it peaked at 61M AI, because it had already peaked on Country after being sent over to the adult formats and Pop.

yeah, even tho the Speak Now singles excluding Mine did not receive crossover airplay. I think her songs are made available to other formats because clearly she's become a big star even outside the country format, something Carrie has not accomplished. (even tho she said multiple times she doesn't care for crossover success).

I think it had an add date. It's just nearly impossible to reach that high on Pop without an add date

Carrie is the Queen of Country, not Queen of Crossover and Taylor isn't as big as Shania and LeAnn in all the crossover things that gurl might seem big, but in the end she's nothing because she's lack of focus on what she's doing

Need You Now Ima listen to it now
I think it's great Carrie doesn't remix her stuff for pop for crossover success. If the music is good enough it'll get played regardless, BHC proved that. Remixing to appease certain formats seems a little tacky.

especially when you're labeled as a "country" singer but needs "US Version" or "Country Radio Mix" for your singles

Sometimes I wonder where she gets that ultimate power from. She's just a small, vegetarian country girl
