I think a bit of controversy is fine. The media is thirsty and will no doubt hype up this cannabis song, but whatever. If it wasn't one thing, it'd be another.

We saw how ridiculous the controversy around Judas got before anyone even heard it, and the result was relatively tame. This song could be an electro Beatles-esque abstract song about drugs.

Mary Jane is a term she's been using for weed, and she chucked on Holland at the end for whatever reason. Probably because she was doing it in Holland (with Madeon?), and stylistically it makes up a character - possible alter ego for ARTPOP.

Considering her MonsterVision, tweet to Madeon and now the tweets about a cannabis song which Madeon responded to...I think Mary Jane Holland could be the song.
