I feel like she'd open with about the same amount and that she would have a better chance at reaching number 1. Releasing around the black friday market has never really increased her sales, its definitely fanbase driven. Therefore, following that logic, the album should sell around the same amount being released in a different quarter and have a better chance of reaching the top.

Actually releasing around Black Friday does increase her sales. Look at her best selling album GGGB selling 162K first week during the summer. All subsequent releases sold more than that first week and was released during Black Friday (Rated R even 99 cents). It's logical to assume she'd open with less

Yeah. But she wasn't as established with GGGB as she is now. She didn't even have hardcore fans or a navy back when GGGB released. It wasn't until during that era that she became this massive star.

When she opened with GGGB her latest albums were Music Of The Sun and A Girl Like Me. Both did nothing to propel Rihanna to stardom and the only big thing that was promoting her was Umbrella. At the time, its hard to believe it now because of how big she is, not many people knew who she was or what she was about. Her album was bought because it was piggybacked by Umbrella. Now she is established and has a large fanbase that has consistently moved her albums around 180-210k first week sales. If Black Friday played a bigger role in determining how many albums she would sell then Loud would have sold much more, being piggybacked by such a successful first single.
Damn, her US first week numbers are really wack. I can't believe she came from a huge era,had a #1 single, released in 4th quarter and still did not even 200k.
To answer the question, like 110k maybe.
