Korra cannot hold a candle to ATLA, but in and of itself, it's still an awesome show. I absolutely loved the first season. It was flawed in a lot of ways and definitely had a few holes, but it was still, in my opinion, the best show on Nickelodean while it was airing. It's also very different from the original because the central characters are all a lot older and the story is a lot darker.
I don't think Korra is anywhere near ATLA in terms of how memorable or iconic, but it was thoroughly entertaining and I was constantly on the edge of my seat watching it. I love the fact that it exists. lol. I can't wait for season 2.
