I'm not sure how much it costs for ATRL, but for my fansite forum Avril Bandaids with over 800,000 accounts and being online for 10 years, we own our own server and could cost up to $300 a month to keep the site up and running, and advertising doesn't help that much at all.

I'm fine with the censorship tbh.

Honestly, if it's a choice between censoring or no ATRL at all...I mean, the choice is obvious.

Having said that...there are still one or two words that are prohibited that still baffle me, even if I do understand (somewhat) why they are prohibited. I mean, one of the words is a big part of Mitt Romney's presidential campaign...which means that every time we try to talk about **** this election season, it will come out in asterisks. Or, as one thread put it, "Mitt Romney vs. ****". There's a difference between the word and the portrayal.

It's terrible.

I'd much rather deal with censoring than have no ATRL at all.

If censoring will help ATRL gain back its advertisers then so be it. A lot of people are over-exaggerating, but there are some words included in the censorship I find peculiar. But as a whole, I'm fine with it.

- Continue censoring
- Do not allow any explicit content (ex. Naked pics, etc.)

Explicit content is more than swearing. So just censoring swear words isn't going to be enough to get the advertising back, right? What else would we need to do to help ATRL? I don't want to see the site have to shut down!

Honestly, if it meant having a small membership fee to keep things going, I wouldn't mind. (I should really just get ATRL+ already...)

I think we should all just deal with the censorship. I know y'all would all rather do that than have the site shut down.

the site would have to be 18+ and if this was an 18+ site a lot of people would complain because they are not here to look at ****ographic images in the first place.

I have no issue with it. You Moderators are doing an AMAZING job.

Ok. On one hand, I agree with the censorship. Some people use curse words very excessively.

But on the other hand, there is a lot of music that uses curse words in their titles. I can name a few that have f*uck off the top of my head. F*ck You by both Lily Allen and Cee-lo Green. Stuck On F*ckin You by Lady GaGa. F*ckin Perfect by Pink. And many more. Including many other profanities.

Just saying, but I can definitely deal with the censorship anyway. I would also be willing to make donations AND upgrade to ATRL+ if I knew it was helping the site stay open. And I think a lot of other people would be willing to make donations too.

I'm alright with the censoring but would it be better if you had f**k and s**t instead of **** and ****?

I feel like for eg if we type "c u n t" or "f u c k" at least one letter should show?

Because you can barely tell **** and **** from these stars and it just leads to confusion and stupid arguments.
