If we're talking the other genres, yeah experimenting with other genres are not what they call as 'cheating'. But this is Country. A genre which is so well known for respecting the tradition. Moving forward =/= burying the Country identity. There's a reason why Progressive Country called as it is.
But I definitely will root for her if she's working with ppl like Lykke Li or Jack White, even if it's not Country.
She's ran that country sound into the ground. Now it's time for her to become an international superstar, and sadly that's not through country music. It's through pop/dance-pop.
