If it's pop, it has to be good, individual pop. Great examples are Muny (her best hip-pop song), Super Bass, Fly & Right Thru Me (which I have grown to appreciate more since PF era ended). & of course Save Me. M4L could be even be a hip-pop track, arguably.
PtA, WI, Automatic & BS are not her. They could've been done by many other people (I say that even though I admittedly love PtA & WI).
Its HipPop just like SB, VVV, etc
