The censorship is completely tolerable, especially if that's the one thing keeping the site running.

Just an idea: One of the mods said that they were able to see all the banned words, I guess something to do with the censor being lifted on their accounts? Something like that ...Anyway, well if it can be removed for moderators, wouldn't it also be possible to unlock the same things for normal users, so that we could see the words, but guests and advertisers couldn't? Just wondering if that's realistic.

It indeed is, but thats not the problem its that our advertises dont approve of the content, and because we are a bigger operation then other sites they hold us to higher standard because we are serving more of there ads.

I think you should see if you could contact 4chan's owner, Moot, and ask him a few questions...I know there are obviously logistic issues in the current state of ATRL and I appreciate you trying to even keep the site up, but I get the impression we haven't exhausted all of our options yet.
