I think that’s perfect.
We’ve had plenty of music from her in the 2011-2012 span. She’s giving us music videos for every track off the EP & soon at least one off the mixtape (if everything goes as planned) and she’s been touring. I think we’ve been spoiled enough, we can wait.
This gives her time to grow and for them to find out what they’ll do with her commercially.
Azealia is a dance artist, and let's be honest, she is probably never going to be a mainstream artist. She'll always be on the fringe, like M.I.A., where she'll probably make a living off touring and keeping a niche audience or particular scene happy.
I've heard some of A.B.'s new stuff through work. It was good, but it's house music with rap verses and big vocal choruses, not hip-hop.
