And it could go either way tbh. If it's too pop sounding it might get eaten alive by pop fans and become a top 40 mainstream hit. And if it's a good cross over hit it could be successful in both areas. There's also the likely chance that it'll flop altogether and not get much success on either or.

After Marry The Night, I'm not really inclined to believe that pop radio has enough good will towards her to play anything by other than a
dance pop lead single from her own album. When she tried to be different by releasing You and I, it didn't really work out on radio... Sales were enough for it to go top ten on Hot 100, but, that's it.
