Is it too much to ask for another?

If she's on American Idol, then there's really no point in the re-release. She should just do some mixtape or something free of new and unused tracks to keep her hungry hip-hop Barbz happy.

Then in spring/summer, she should re-release the album or release a brand new album, in preparation for the US leg of her arena tour, which would probably be summer 2013 after Idol.

I think everybody wins with the above scenario, as if she does a mixtape or EP of just hip-hop prior to Idol starting, then that frees the re-release/new album to be more focused on her mainstream sound. A few pop songs, couple mid-tempos, a new electro R&B track and maybe something really out-there like a rocky track. Basically, whatever would appeal to the new fans she'd get out of American Idol.

At the end of the day almost everyone except Eminem, Wayne and Britney has re-released an album or done the EP thing.

It will make sense to just do it and get those sales boosted.
I mean people are dragging her for selling the way she does with all of the singles out or "selling out" so lessers will always find something.

Maybe this was the plan all along? She says the album will be hip-hop, she makes it pop, then comes back and goes HARD on the re-release, and Next Album.
