Rumor has it Will Smith, Jon Hamm, Robert Downey Jr., Leonardo DiCaprio, Christian Bale, Russell Crowe, and Tom Cruise have all passed on the role.
The only one that was offered the role was Leonardo, none of the others actors you mentioned was asked. Tom isn't going to do another musical nor christian bale, Jon or Robert he's busy with his other leading roles. Russell Crowe is a no go. I think they should just pass on this movie though. I don't know doesn't matter whose in it because Bey's movies always do great.

But Bradley Cooper is a cutie and he's a good actor so hopefully he says yes.
They were supposed to start filming this summer. And the only news we got that B recorded some of the soundtrack. So this movie probably won't be released until 2014.

I don't know why? But maybe because the lead female is black? Or they just don't want to do a musical. Hugh Jackman should take the role though. The 2009 Oscars he did was great!! Just a thought.
I don't understand why Hugh Jackman isn't doing this. He's perfect for the role and his chemistry with Beyoncé is great. I think Bradley is a horrible actor so this isn't a good look.
