I mean, it was an awful movie with an even worse concept.
I know I only saw it because of Rihanna. I wouldn't have even looked twice without her in it. To be honest, I was hoping she'd die relatively soon in the movie so I could get up and leave.
I know since this is a music forum, people are going to try and shade/blame Rihanna, but in reality, the media is blaming the lead of the movie - Taylor Kitch.
Nobody knows who he is, his 250 million dollar film John Carter flopped (and earned 72 million domestically), same with Battle Ship. They're really trying to push him as the new "A-List actor", but he hasn't gotten much exposure, so him having a lead role is not helping them financially. It's a gamble they took, and it failed.
I've seen the movie and after that, I was not disappointed but now that I've seen more action movies, it's definitely the worst out of all the action movies I've seen this year.
