But you're missing the point: the core issue here is that, probably unlike other people in the spotlight (most likely not as much in the spotlight as Gaga is, don't forget that either), Gaga said on Ellen that she would "never wear fur". And all of a sudden she does. And defends it in an open response to the negative press, calling a nice fur coat a "piece of art".

Don't tell me you do not understand why a lot of people would take offense at and have a greater problem with this than they have when some grade c celebrity who always admitted to liking it wears a fur coat out on the street every other week.
