For the poll Id say I m neutral because
1- I want a #1 hot 100 where country legends such as Twain or Brook failed.
2- I want an ultimate proof for her bashers that she s definitely not a local bitch.
though I still hate it
Well I think Taylor will never ever collaborate with these country singers because they were not here for her when she debuted, they were just forced to admit that she was getting bigger and bigger by herself. They bashed her at every occasion. I think Taylor was always closer to pop stars than country stars. About her new direction, the Adele road ain t that easy, it has no country root and it would be ridiculous to be her copycat right after 21's success right ?! you need to pave your own way and that s she is doing actually.
However I understand why some fans are dissapointed but lets just wait & see, Taylor is a smart girl and she s very ambitious...Honestly I m glad that she came from nowhere and top random charts such as Norway or Brazil

Yep for 1 and 2. I don't agree with people not being there for her at the beginning of her career. There are definitely certain people she will never work with but people like Kenny, Tim and Faith and a select few others were supportive. I like that she has always done things her way and will navigate whatever comes her way with grace.

Wait so if she was filming the video for this song yesterday in LA, what is the whole train/hospital thing she filmed in Nashville the other week?

Very well-said .
But note that some Country singers were here for her and she opened for a LOT of them.
And I know right?!?!? It's still number one in a lot of countries ! Including Norway , Swden , NZ , Ireland , Brazil .

Maybe it was a spot for the VMA's or some other surprise.

You got it muddy. Here's the full 'review' from Village Voice.
Quote:
I understand why people are so excited, but "Never Ever" is not Swift at her best. It isn't even Max Martin and Shellback at their best. The song is good, and it makes sense that Swift would want to move away from country. But the pure pop format, at least as it exists at the moment, limits her usual romantic and emotional outpourings, and places her in even tighter formal constraints than country did. Working in pop has some advantages, at least in this song, where she breaks away from the fairy-tale romanticism that threatened to become an even worse trap than any commercial format. Moving from country into teenpop allows her to present a less innocent, more mature persona, but it also prevents her from losing the teen girl fanbase her commercial success depends on. Her older fans can grow up with her, and she can add younger ones at the same time. It's a canny career move.
I doubt "Never Ever" is even close to being the best song on Red; it's a teaser, an indication to her fans of what's coming up. That sounds like commercial calculation of the worst kind, but I don't think it is. Swift's connection with her audience is possibly more important than her connection with her boyfriends. And there is one brilliant touch: the spoken bit that comes after the middle eight. It isn't so much what she says as the way it sounds, distant and off mic, like a clandestine paparazzi recording, an audio clip from the reality series Swift's life has become. It's an even better kiss-off than the song itself.
(If you're curious about the country mix, don't bother; it sounds like the same track with the pop sheen rubbed off, the kick-drum mixed down, and some country instrumentation added. And you can't buy it. Swift may not be interested in getting together with her country audience much anymore, either.)

“@chartnews: Women with most Hot 100 chart entries since 1983: Madonna 56 | @TaylorSwift13 45 | @MariahCarey 44 |@NickiMinaj 41 | @MaryJBlige 40.”
That's counting WANEGBT. Taylor will definitely chart at least 4 more songs this era (the singles), but 11 songs would be enough to shatter Madonna's record. Too bad it'll be harder now that streaming matters.

I kii-d @ them loving the spoken part when everybody seems to hate it.

So she's got a live interview on Today Show and then a live performance in Central Park on 10/22, and then a different live performance on Today Show on 10/23.

Probably not. It's a school day and all her fans are teenage girls.

Taylor said in the live chat that she's going to be in six different countries .
Did she mess up and say countries instead of cities???
