Btw, the most distinctive character of J-Pop is not in the music nor instruments though. It's the vocal melody and progressions. Maybe the vocal techniques too.

Actually I think you're onto something. Japan's electro is very autotuned and filtered with heavy vocal enhancements that make you sound really robotic. Often the music is pretty trancey, so maybe she means something like that. Kpop leans more towards electro house and stuff, like the U.S.
