Can all of you please help me? I have to make a term paper about defining something that is very broad and I chose to define love. It’s like it has so many meanings and I want it to be subjective. I don’t want to look over internet. I want to hear it from you (from ordinary people).
Noun:
An intense feeling of deep affection: "their love for their country".
Verb:
Feel a deep romantic or sexual attachment to (someone): "do you love me?".
Synonyms: noun. affection - fondness - darling - passion
verb. like - be fond of - fancy - adore
Personal: A feeling of intense attachment to someone. You care for them, you don't want them to hurt or feel pain. You'll literally give your life for them. You can't describe love really its just an out of this world emotion, the strongest bond a person can have.
Love is hard to describe. Love is love: an emotion that is misconstrued as the sole benefactor of any relationship, a word misused for someone's personal gain, a person who portrays the emotion in question whether the underlying reasoning behind the portrayal is truly genuine and positive or a gruesome lie, but it is also a feeling that gives meaning to our lives; the ability to find the one we love and who will love us back is a lifelong skill, and we shouldn't misuse it. Love is very hard to describe because these words are only the words of someone who has loved and lost; how I feel shouldn't be exactly the same as another, but it could be similar.
Love is a trick evolution plays on us to make us bond with another person for a limited amount of time (usually 3-5 years) in order to give birth and raise an offspring.
Its a very cynical definition of love, but probably largely true.
