Who said anything about a smash? If a song isn't a SMASH, that does not mean it is a flop. Oy. I'm very well aware of what a "hit song" can be declared by. Just because you view it as a flop, doesn't mean everyone else does. And clearly, this poll indicates that most are agreeing with me. Why do you feel the need to try and diminish Kelly's success CONSTANTLY?

If Kelly had any promo since the song has been sitting in the mid 20s on iTunes for the last 2 weeks, it could have shot up the Hot 100 and Pop. Instead, we may have to settle for no promotion and a #1 on Dance, #10 on Hot AC, and #22 on Pop. I'd hardly call that a flop, but you tried.

"Dark Side" hasn't flopped.

Technically, I wouldn't say it flopped moreso under-promoted/bad timing. Releasing it while Stronger was still hot was idiotic, not to mention releasing the video willy nilly with no lead-up was just complete buffoonery. Kelly is an established artist so she should've had some type of lead-up promoting the video. And not to add insult to injury, but I've barely seen any televised performances of it, not including a Stronger medley either. Every time she performed it, it was basically an intro into Stronger.

The song is doing well considering every thing that's happened, so I guess that's a positive.

Kelly did do promo, it was just at a bad time. So let's blame it on timing, not [lack of] promo.
