No matter how much people claim to hate or love Lady Gaga and say she is fading, she stays coming out of their mouth, same with Madonna. They get people talking, and every thing they do is taken note of.
But the album has been DEAD for months now. You can biblio all you want but you're still not stating a logical reason. There's plenty of artists who are big yet BTW gets a new thread made everyday. I feel like at least 2-3 a day and it's usually the same thread.
The thing is that the reason is not logical. As an example, making a thread about an album that is overrated or being taken as obsessed by ATRL'ers doesn't help you reduce its being taken as obsessed by ATRL'ers.
Lady Gaga is compared to Madonna because she is the benchmark.
Beyoncé is compared to Michael Jackson because he is the benchmark.
[enter new album here] is compared to Born This Way because it is the benchmark.
Because it was a spectacular fall from grace considering her ubiquitous popularity during The Fame (Monster) era. It's the same reason people are astounded by Adele's nonstop dominance for over 2 years and when her singles were topping the Billboard chart even when they had no dance influences on them. It's the same reason all those Taylor threads popped up yesterday when her song leaked and there were endless meltdowns that she broke Gaga's record. It's the same reason why everyone dragged Christina's dead corpse release Bionic for filth and still continue to do on occasion. This is a pop music forum any success and failure is documented to the nines.
THIS is what I'm trying to get my point across. There are so many unless/pointless threads DAILY. Why so obsessed? Is there something I missed or...? haha
