Billboard: 'FAME' ad frightening, fascinating, enticing
Quote:
Lady Gaga breathes life into her brooding black perfume in a new video for the Fame fragrance campaign. The film, directed by Steven Klein and produced by Ridley Scott and associates, fully expresses the dark yet sexy tone of the scent.
Said to smell like "the black soul of fame," the fragrance is depicted in a horror film-like setting in the clip, with Gaga ruling over the dark fantasy.
Drenched with black liquid, tiny soldiers, latex and a peach-colored bob, the frightening (yet fascinating) video entices and makes us want to know exactly what this dark scent smells like. Finally the Fame print ad -- which shows a naked Gaga covered with tiny men -- makes sense. Well, kind of.
I'm loving all the good praise and stuff but really this kind of trailer doesn't really convince me to buy the perfume. the trailer ****s and I love it but still. /:
I thought the ad was fantastic. Everything about it was spectacular. Never have I seen an ad that managed to capture my attention so easily. I MUST smell that perfume.

I don't think that the intention of that commercial is "go buy it" but to leave you with the need to know how it smells. And once you smell the heavenlly scent you can't help to buy it.
