Football is the most boring sport ever created. I don't give **** though. But I'm just happy Kelly can do something that means so much to her. She keeps growing as a artists.
You must have never seen golf, basketball, tennis, baseball or hockey then... to name a few.
I'm glad Kelly did this though anyway
I don't think the song is QUITE as amazing as some are making it out to be.. but I do love the dance direction and it's great for what it is.

Clarkson was an easy choice to team up with the Cowboys. After all, when you’re from Fort Worth, there’s only one team you can cheer for. So Kelly and the Cowboys got together to create a song that we can all sing along to. When Pepsi first approached Kelly about writing the song, she was so excited she wrote the lyrics that same night. From one Cowboys fan to another: GET UP!
I posted the song on my Facebook wall and like 5 of my friends who are biggest fans of the Cowboys reshared it on their wall. Kelly is slaying with her free song

I don't think the song is THAT amazing myself, but compared to a lot of the other recent dance/pop songs (I won't name names ), it's easily on par... And for Kelly to do that with a free song that is basically a commercial for a football team is pretty freaking amazing.

Oh, I do agree with that. Imagine what kind of material we could get if Kelly really put effort into a dance album with amazing producers and lyrics and I'm getting hard just typing this..

I can't believe this song is so flawless. I do think the production is kinda basic but its really really flawless because of her voice and omg. I love love it! Its such a nice surprise. I would be more than happy if this is the direction she went for the new album!
So today she would have played a free show for the troops at Fort Campbell, but had to postpone it because of the weather. She bought a new jeep. And she just sang a new anthem for the freakin' Dallas Cowboys. And it's only Monday. Get it, Clarkson
Almost forgot! It's still the 13th on the west coast Just a few more weeks till the big finale!! I wonder who wins

Top 5 – Burt Bacharach Love Songs
What the critics thought:
Quote:
Kelly has drawn the first straw, and we see her collaborating with big Burt on a song for the evening. You know, Burt takes himself very, very seriously for a guy that writes sappy adult contemporary dentist's office music. I guess millions and millions of dollars will do that to a guy. They'll also make you think that a mid-sleeved aqua sweater looks good. He needs cool shirts like I wear! Burt advised Kelly to sing a different song than "Walk on By". He also advised me to quit writing this inane column. Neither one of us listened. We're so bullheaded sometimes!
Here comes Kelly, and I must say, she's looking sexier than ever. It's possible that I'm suffering from Emptying Bar Syndrome right now. You know, with Christina and Ryan gone, I'm desperately casing the joint for the next best thing because it's now 1:38am and I'm feeling rather randy. But I don't think so. Kelly is simply looking damn fine right now. Hi, next crush! What took you so long to get here? Kelly gives a solid performance, as usual, but it's not up to the very high bar she's set for herself.
Randy isn't blown away by Kelly tonight. Not her best for him, he says. She says, "Okay, okay. I understand," over him. Being quarantined in the mansion, she may have caught Justinitis. The disease that forces you to start talking whenever people are criticizing you, so you can't hear what they have to say. But Simon likes her so much he can't even speak. I think the gist of what he was saying is, "I like Kelly. Thank God for Kelly." I dunno. It's tough to tell with the accent and the mumbling. http://www.americanidol.com/archive/...1/20020813.php

Kelly (Eeeeeee!) heads to The Octagon wearing a red bustier and black flared pants, her hair pulled back and piled up on her head. Simple, but pretty. Kelly (Eeeeeee!) has decided to continue with the belting, and sings "Walk On By" as if it's an order from a drill sergeant, and not a melancholy passive-aggressive plea for attention, as it should be. You know, it'd be okay if she changed the mood of the song to make the meaning some sort of gesture of defiance, but when she also belts out the lines that indicate the singer's titular request is a big lie, it simply doesn't work. There's also a lot of warbling coming from her tonight, and she's usually the one who holds out the notes. Overall, an okay performance, but very unsubtle and too flashy. But she gets a standing ovation anyway.
Judges. Randy "Kelly, Kelly, Kelly"s that he doesn't think this was one of her best performances. The crowd starts booing, but Kelly (Eeeeeee!) tells Randy, "I understand," repeatedly, like some sort of reassurance that she wasn't entirely happy with it either. Still, he liked the performance. Paula brings up the song choice thing again and says she thought Kelly (Eeeeeee!) would have done a great job with "Anyone Who Had A Heart." However, she thinks Kelly (Eeeeeee!) did a good job and made "Walk On By" her own. Well, yes, but as I've said before, that's not always a good thing. Simon starts his comments with a tone of disappointment in his voice, telling Kelly (Eeeeeee!) that she's proven that she's more than just a good singer. But there is no "but" to his comment. Instead, he thanks her for entering the competition and admits that they didn't really pick up on her talent in the audition rounds. He tells Kelly (Eeeeeee!) that he's sure she's going to be a big star by the end of the competition. http://www.televisionwithoutpity.com...wer.php?page=4

KELLY
"Walk on By"
DEBORAH: Kelly's voice is so natural and effortless, you are never afraid she is not going to hit her notes. You can sit back and relax and put yourself in her hands. That is an amazing quality to have for a performer. She is definitely in my top three picks. I think she has what it takes to be a pop star.
PAULA: We all look forward to Kelly. She's always amazing and surprising us every week. Talk about raising the bar. When she went and performed...of course, she surprised us. The song she was going to choose was "Anyone Who Had a Heart," so "Walk on By" was her second choice. She is amazing. http://www.etonline.com/index.html?pageNotFound=1

Kelly Clarkson, "Walk On By" - I'm putting her third but that does not at all mean she sucked. Far from it! She, more than Tamyra I think, made "Walk On By" her own. The stately version from Dionne Warwick that we all know was vamped and bluesed a bit. I remember thinking if this was a record, I would buy it. Kelly Clarkson is explosive, and I say again. Nothing that happens on American Idol will stop her from being a force to be reckoned with. http://www.realitynewsonline.com/cgi...131.art&page=1
So weird watching all the old stuff, like 10years ago already.
Did anyone actually start stanning for Kelly right from idol?
Stanning no, but I was a big fan and voted for her and made my whole family vote for her as well. I remember calling my grandma and telling her she needed to vote for Kelly at least 30x

And I cried with her when she won
Yea I actually watched that entire season and actually wanted Tamyra to go against Kelly in the final two. I still hate that **** Nicki Mckibben for not being kicked out before Tamyra,
I was so happy when I found out she became a fat drug addict on celebrity rehab!! Useless bitch.
But I remember the night when she won because it was the night before my first day of Highschool and it was so emotional seeing her win. I was really happy for her but I didn't start truly stanning for her until years later.
