From defining the word Idol for an entire generation to a cascade of hits, Kelly Clarkson has already had a legendary career. She’s had number one albums and number one songs, and has sold over 20 million albums worldwide – making her one of the most successful reality show contestants of all time. But that’s not what defines Kelly. Kelly’s artistry and vocals are what bring power to her music and what motivates her to keep going.
Clarkson was an easy choice to team up with the Cowboys. After all, when you’re from Fort Worth, there’s only one team you can cheer for. So Kelly and the Cowboys got together to create a song that we can all sing along to. When Pepsi first approached Kelly about writing the song, she was so excited she wrote the lyrics that same night. From one Cowboys fan to another: GET UP!
"People overseas know the Dallas Cowboys. They don't know the Denver Broncos or the Philadelphia Eagles. The Dallas cheerleaders are more famous than some of the NFL teams. I know I sound biased."
No kelly, you're right. No-one really knows the other teams lol
Coming up are Ice Cube's not-yet-titled ode to theOakland Raiders and Kid Rock's In Detroit for the Detroit Lions. Starting today, Travie McCoy's All In, a New York Giants anthem, will be offered exclusively through download redemption codes on specially marked 24-pack Pepsi products at Wal-Mart. After Sept. 3, it's a free download without the code. The songs will be available on the site until Feb. 28.
The program also touts a remix of Wiz Khalifa's Black and Yellow, the 2010 hit that boosted Pittsburgh teams and spawned remakes.
Kelly's the only girl. Get it girl! I wonder if they'll add more artists and teams as the season progresses?
