Why do people say the Born This Way era wasn't colorful?

Well let me explain.. Have you heard anything from Calvin Harris that he released recently? It's like Guetta's work, really radio friendly.. But Calvin's FIRST album was TOTALLY NOT NEAR MAINSTREAM!! It was very 80's like (Hence the title of the album ) .. But as you now know, Calvin can do some amazing work if he is pushed and challenged to do so.. Guetta could do the same.. I know he has a MEGA smash hiding in him.. He's just afraid to expand is all..

On the note of what he said.. Gaga personally didn't like the BTW era all in itself.. I think she would let what he said slip, esp since he said her new album is going to be amazing

She didn't like how it panned out and how it was viewed she didnt say she didnt like the music

Guetta basically said the album was trash and therefore insulted Garibay, White Shadow and RedOne's work.

She didnt say she was unhappy with the era, she was just unhappy with how people treated her during it because she thought it was good/was being unfairly bashed.

I don't think ANYONE had that expectation for Lady Gaga after TFM, and her rhetoric about what direction she wanted to move in. If he thought that, he's seriously ignorant about Gaga herself and therefore shouldn't even be commenting on her work.
