Music News: Ne-Yo wants Adele, Plan B collaborations

The singer is currently preparing for the release of his fifth studio album R.E.D., which is out later in the year.

"Adele's an incredible artist. If you're reading this, Adele, give me a call," he told the Daily Star.

"I like Plan B's vibe. He's all about expressing his passion, whether through rap or singing. I'd love to get in and do some stuff with him."

Ne-Yo recently admitted that it is hard being a popstar and a parent.

"The toughest part for me is not being able to be there as much as I'd like to," he said.

"I'm missing milestones as we speak. Not that I don't love being here with y'all, but my daughter just said her first full sentence and I'm not there, so that sucks a little bit."

That's not going to happen, Adele doesn't collaborate with anybody. I remember when Cher was trying to get in contact with Adele for a collaboration, and Adele ignored her calls.

It's her right to do that. I mean they are obviously wanting to get a hit with her. And Adele shouldn't let her be used for that purpose..

I cant at people trying to act as if Ne-Yo hasn't created some of the best R&B music the past decade. Adele is cool but she's not music royalty people.

I swear Atrl can be so snobbish towards Urban music, its ridiculous and offensive. And its such a shame because most of these pop acts, especially Adele, use urban elements in their music.

Nobody is downplaying him, but the fact is Adele doesn't collaborate with anybody like I said. I wouldn't mind her working with him.

I agree. I hate it whenever an artist releases an urban song as a single there's all these melt-downs "I hope this is a promo single", "She needs to come back and release a REAL song", "So when is he lead single comiing?".

I agree, as a fan of that type of music I find it offensive sometimes, how people can be so close-minded, and how people who like dance music go and criticize a load of R&B and hip hop artists when they don't release a dance song. Sorry, but WTF?

I know the second I start playing a song whether ATRL will like it or not.

Plus, Adele, Plan B and Ne-Yo aren't THAT musically removed at all. It's a shame Ne-Yo does the dance songs, since now people associate him with Closer and Give Me Everything, but most of his material is similar in many ways to some of the stuff that Adele and Plan B have done.

Not too much on Closer. It's Contemporary R&B gold. And Ne-Yo makes pretty good dance music. Much better than the likes of Usher and Chris Brown. Beautiful Monster, Let's Go & Let Me Love You are all better than CB and Usher's dance efforts sans MAYBE Beautiful People. Sorry to take that one bit of your post and address it.

But yeah I completely agree. Atrl is hypocrite zone but it only gets worse with other sites.
