After stints in two groups, Sevyn is ready to embark on her solo career. The R&B singer-songwriter has inked a deal with CBE/Atlantic Records.
Sevyn (previously spelled Se7en), who's real name is Amber Streeter, was formerly a member of the R&B girl groups TG4 and RichGirl. Soon after, Chris Brown came calling and signed her to his CBE label (she is featured on 3 tracks on Fortune, and co-wrote 5 tracks, co-wrote 4 tracks on F.A.M.E. and was featured on several tracks on In My Zone 2 and Boy In Detention). Last week, she officially joined the Atlantic Records roster and is prepping her solo debut through CBE/Atlantic.
She is already deep into recording her first album. She also added a major credit to her résumé by co-writing Alicia Keys’ New Day, calling it “one of the most amazing experiences of my life.”
