Celeb News: Calvin Harris: "Rihanna came to me for 'We Found Love'"

The pair teamed up for Rihanna's hits 'We Found Love' and 'Where Have You Been', but the DJ insists that he didn't instigate the collaborations.
"The only person I've sought out is Florence from Florence + the Machine," Harris told 4music. "Everyone else has come to me. Even Rihanna. Can you believe that?"

Talking about his third studio record, he added: "My album's out at the end of October. It's more like a compilation. It's like a Now album, but with me all over it.

"I've got everything you've heard since the start of 2011 on there. [I've got a song] with Ellie Goulding on there, which is great. We finished that last week."

Calvin Harris recently reached number two with his latest single 'We'll Be Coming Back', which features Example.

This. He's trying to brag about Rihanna reaching to him as if he had been relevant for longer than a calendar year. Though most DJs/producers are cocky so I guess it's their niche. I still use him though.

So? That doesn't mean that Calvin wasn't famous before that Rihanna collaboration. Actually he was only unknown in the US. Before Rihanna Calvin got two #1 albums in the UK + 2 #1 singles in the UK + he worked with Kylie Minogue, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Example, The Ting Tings, Dizee Rascal & Tiesto.

Sounds like he was only known in the UK actually. His albums only managed to break the top 10 in the UK and Ireland. He only made it big or in the worldwide scene after We Found Love, let's be honest.
