But I hate how EVERYONE treats him like a God

Jamaicans do because he's helped bring Jamaica back to a huge mainstream country like when Bob Marley died. there were soooo many non Jamaicans repping Jamaican flags and shirts at the Olympics when I was there.

His push ups were a little obnoxious though.

He is the fastest man alive, why not treat him like that?

It's great that he helped revive interest in Jamaica and their culture, I'm all for that.

But like on my Facebook timeline there are non stop posts about Usain Bolt. It's everywhere One person took a picture of him in the stadium and it got 109 likes People are going overboard with treating him like the second coming.

He looks soo different with his new (?) hair. Keep in mind the image I had of him was how he looked during Beijing 2008.

And there were medals given to the worlds greatest weightlifters, gymnasts, swimmers etc. They aren't nearly as respected and they are a lot more humble compared to Bolt.

I suppose that has to do with the Atheletics getting the most media attention though.

He is the WR holder on both competitions though, and he's the 1st athlete ever to win both 100 and 200m in 2 consecutive Olympics.

He's the star of these Olympic games. Just like Phelps was 4 years ago

plus he has rescued athletics from the years of dopers winning everything and has become a legend through his own natural ability.

Also as someone has already said his Jamaican personality is very heartwarming and is boosting the profile of that country amazingly (having said that I think the likes of Shelly Ann Fraser, VCB, Blake etc. should get more credit as they are also dominating!)

No one is treating him like a God. He is just getting a lot of hype and deservedly so he talks the talk and walks the walk. He's helping Jamaica restore a positive image world wide and Jamaicans are happy about that. Non Jamaicans are excited that he slays so effortlessly and is so entertaining and thrilling to watch. Im proud of the kid and he deserves every bit of success he gets. Despite his bravado on the track he's very humble and does a lot for his community.
