Jennifer Lopez felt awkward judging 'American Idol'.

The sexy singer - who recently announced she was quitting the reality TV show - is thrilled to be back on stage for her 'Dance Again' world tour and says she feels far more comfortable performing to thousands of fans than she ever was judging others on the show.

Jennifer told the Los Angeles Times: "I'm a professional! And as fun as it was to take a break from everything and do that for a little while, this is where I belong.

"I'm so much more at ease on stage than I was sitting in that chair."

The curvy Latina star - who has twins Max and Emme with estranged husband Marc Anthony - has credited the show with inspiring her musical comeback in 2011 and is thankful for the experience.

Jennifer enthused: "'Idol' was a catalyst for all this movement in my life. Talking to the contestants and sharing what I've learned over the years performing live and singing in the studio - it got me back to those things.

"All of a sudden I realised I knew all this stuff."

I am sure it was very awkward judging others singing abilities. I mean she's still convincing the public that she's a singer.

This is kinda misleading title . & yeah, i get what she means when she says that she's learnt everything as a performer. She's pretty much the best performer we have today

Well she is able to do a tour now thanks to Idol... it really brought her back.

She is an amazing performer though.

I agree, but even the latin-influenced English tracks she also seems to sound great also. I think it has to do with her voice and her nationality. It just suits her better.

"Ain't It Funny" [Original], "Let's Get Loud", "Waiting For Tonight", "On The Floor", etc., all sound amazing with the Latin-elements. Something she should probably try sticking to.

Yea, I noticed this aswell.
Her voice was extremely thin during 'On The 6' yet you could still hear the emotion in her vocals in songs like "Could This Be Love" & "Should've Never".

I know all the Def Jam tweets about her next album have hinted to a strictly dance album but I hope they still add that Latin twist like they did with "On The Floor".
