I just thought of something really cool, that could help the Blogs more cool. I don't know how it would be set up, but....please think of this consideration.

We all have blogs, or most of us do. And everytime we update a new blog a new blog is made...duh. But, if you haven't noticed, clicking on the latest blog brings you to the last page of the update. Now...obviously this makes sense, any idiot () can see that.

But the thing that I think we should do is...make a way where we can see all the blogs that someone made and click on a link that would bring us to that certain blog. I don't know if this would work but like maybe on the first page of the blog, we have a bunch of links that shows all the blogs that that person made in the PF time. Because sometimes people are away from PF for a long time and they miss some blogs. So they assume they missed nothing and just read the last blog. Otherwise you have to search through all the pages to find a certain blog you missed or want to look back upon.

If this makes no sense please ask. I just want to see if there is a way to make all the blogs we make viewable right next to each other to the point of where we can click on that link and it brings us to that blog.

Like for instance...I'll use my blog for instance...somehow maybe on the first page, we have something likes this...

I didn't post all my blogs, but you get my drift right? And obviously these will be links but I don't know how to do that. I don't know how to make a link that would take me directly to those blogs. Anyways...it would be a great idea if it did work out.

^Yeah I saw that..., but this isn't an option on PF, what if everyone would like this in their blog? I just think it would be a great thing to the blog forum if we had an option like this instead of physically doing it ourselves. But I'm sure it would take a lot of time to figure out how to make this work for every blog. If you really want to show me...then I'm open for new ideas. But I just wanted everyone to have this option not just some people who have the time to spend 5 hours making the blog into something like you did.

But I also should think about how much bandwidth and the effort TC or whoever else does this site, that they have to put into it. I don't want them to spend the time doing something they don't want. It takes a lot of work, I know that. I just wanted to show my thoughts on this...

I understand, and I thought the same thing when I first saw them but wasn't too bothered at the time. Although, now that many posters have multiple entries and multipe pages per blog thread and they're going to get longer, it's a good idea to think about.

Each blog is a continuous thread and you have to search through it to find previous blogs, so a way to go directly to each blog entry without sifting through all the replies would be good if possible.

Edit - Or we could judt do what Kely does. I just your first blog post Kely and I like the way you organised it.

i dont spend 5 hours for doing that all i do i edit the first post and paste the post code into the link...

right click to it then click properties then get the URL Adress...for example here, http://www.popfusion.net/forums/show...php?p=1102727#1102727
the last numbers are the Post Id

to make a link out of it, the tag is: the ( ) are [ ]

(post=postid)value(/post)

so you will type like this
(post=1102727)i love jesse mccartney(/post)

Thanks Kely, I did it. It took me like 30 minutes or so and now all my blogs have links and they aren't going to be hard to find anymore. Go view my first page of my blog to see how it looks. I should make it more presentable though, it looks so crunched together...

Hmm it would be cool to have an automatically generated index or archive page of all the posts in a blog, but I think it would be really difficult to implement.

Also for future reference, you have just one blog, if you add to it then it's a new entry or a new post, not a new blog.

I think it's fine the way it is.

^Really? I think it would be too much.

Let's just say in about 3 to 4 months when everyone has around 15 to 20 maybe more new blog updates....do you really want to go through maybe 10 pages or so trying to find a specific blog update? I wouldn't. It takes forever. It takes around 10 to 15 minutes depending on how many blogs updates you have, just searching for a specific blog. Anyways...Let's just wait and see what TC thinks. Kworb thinks it's a good idea, but I agree with him that it would be kind of hard to set up a program to do this.
