B'day wasn't really following the music trends of the time. I don't think it sounds dated at all. If you mean dated because it is retro-soul influenced and has a 70s sound, then yes, but it certainly doesn't sound dated in comparison to songs like
Say It,
Sell Me Candy,
Push Up on Me etc. which really sound like 2007. To me anyways.
I couldn't choose, I like them both the former being one of my favourites from Beyonce)
