Writing something with no meaning and coming up with an explanation after the fact is infinitely harder than being inspired by something, writing to that, and then telling people what inspired you. I don't know why you'd be so cynical instead of taking her at her word.

I never called her liar or said I don't believe that she really thinks certain songs are about whatever she thinks they are about. I didn't say that they can't have that meaning to her as a person. However, lets say she wrote Call Me Maybe and said that she was inspired about her relationship with the papparazzi when she was just becoming famous. While I don't doubt that she may had been inspired by that, there's little evidence of that in the song. That's what I'm saying.
Or for example, the german babble in Scheisse literally has no meaning. However, to her she has given more in depth explanations about living halfway between reality and fantasy. While it can most certainly mean something to her and everyone has a right to interpret it however they please. There's no real basis to draw that conclusion from within the song. It's just meaningless babble and the rest of the song is about feminism. Or I love her explanation about Teeth. I actually like when she says it's about the truth and interpret it that way as well but there's no basis in the song anywhere that suggests she's talking about the truth and honesty.
Songs can have a deeper meaning to her and that's fine. I can interpret some songs with a certain meaning as well but when there is little to no evidence to actually back up the claim it gets a bit tricky. Like I said I agree with a fan's interpretation that Monster is in reality about The Fame. Gaga says DITD is about women feeling self conscious in bed but I don't interpret it that way, I interpret it how I please. That's the thing about art, everyone can interpret it to mean however they'd like.
