i remember a thread that was about song titles affecting the success of a single and I think that the title may affect the success of the album. It just seems tacky to me; like someone calling their album "DANCEPOP" or "POPROCK" i think she's running out of ideas

Just because you are not willing to look deeper, doesn't mean she doesn't have deeper meanings attached.

I see many layers to this title. At least two that should be glaringly obvious.

Again, and again and again because nobody reads the thread before replying: This title has more to it than just being about artistic pop music. She's said MANY TIMES that Warhol is one of her main inspirations. He popularized POP ART. She's creating ART POP. Pop Art was about mass-produced cultural images that become a commentary on society, celebrity, and commercialization of art. That's ****ing EVERYTHING Gaga's been doing since the beginning. And now she's flat-out telling you her plan, and you all write it off as "pretentious" and refuse to see what she's working with.
