It all boils down to taste though, I guess. But If you're looking for innovative, thoughtful, introspective music from a 15 year old Disney star then that's your problem.

Because most of them are too lazy to learn music theory and play instruments -_-
I swear I'm the only person my age (14) that understands basics such as any key outside of C and is able to read sheet music in clefs other than bass and treble.

Teens need to start learning about music before making it lol. At least learn the minor scales, those are more basic than the alphabet.

It's not so much the teen but the producer. Producers shape music. Especially with teens.

Music is usually meant for a younger audience.

Allison Iraheta's debut album is among my favorite albums, and you can't forget JoJo. Demi makes good music too.

They're all over the arbitrary age of 18 now but they became known before that age.

Because it's more about the superficial side of fame: Money, Cars, Houses, Men/Women, fame, etc. They want the success. That's why basically every rap song out is a bout the SAME ****. That's all some people see. Although some kids have actual talent and want recognition for it and are forced to run up under Disney for their talents to be recognized.

Not all of them do. Maybe 2/3 of them, but not all.

I don't fault them for wanting to experiment and explore forms of expression, it's no different from a teenager wanting to be a photographer or any other sort of artist. The arts are a learning curve you aren't taught in most schools. They pick it up, go along with it until they realize they're no good (natural talent can only get you so far) and either work at it or give it up for the next thing that catches their eyes.

The only difference is that the internet has created a level playing field for people seeking to expose their work to a wide audience. For every experienced artist that has a vision and talent and has sacrificed other obligations to work on their craft, there is a non-committal teen/young adult just ****ing around, trying to express themselves or get famous.
