OMG, I couldn't get into Dead Space. I was so scared to play that ****. I tried watching the second one on YouTube, and almost couldn't handle it. It was like watching an actual scary movie.

I have played all the numbered Resident Evil games. They are the best in survival horror genre and RE is also the most successful series of course. But if you are looking for scary games then find Silent Hill or Fatal Frame instead. Even the first Resident Evil games (RE1-RE3) were not that scary.

Silent Hill. The earlier resident evil games were good survival horror, but the franchise itself has moved to more of an action thing. Parasite Eve was also good (I didn't play the sequels tho). Dead Space is fun, but it's not a true survival horror. But still. I'll take what I can get.

Fatal Frame is terrifying. Something about asians and horror...

I've never played a resident evil game. should I get into that? I've only played the bioshocks and dead spaces

If you're scared easily, start with Bioshock (it's more disturbing than scary)
Then move onto something like dead space or resident evil.
Amnesia if you have the balls to do it I dont

Dude, the term survival horror was first used for Resident Evil 1 and RE's also the most important series in the genre. If you like surrival horror you have to get into it I highly recommend Resident Evil remake on Gamecube or Wii , that game is a masterpiece . Or if you don't mind playing ancient PS1 graphics then find early RE tittles (RE1-RE3) they are also on PC.
