Gorls! I have this friend who is an opera singer and a MAJOR music snob. Like, he is one of those that because he is so trained in music and singing, he acts like the music people usually like is crap. (Especially pop music). It's actually pretty annoying. I tried to get him into Kelly a few times because he only would admit how great her voice was but wasn't a fan of her music - like every other pop act. (The one he trashes most is Gaga). But anyway, I played him Sober once when I was trying to tell him that she's so much better than many of her singles..and he basically said the song was "just ok" and that the instruments used were weak and the progression was bland blah blah and I just rolled my eyes.
The POINT of this story is I woke up this morning with a post on my Facebook:
"So yesterday, while in Nebraska, I heard Kelly Clarkson's "Dark Side". I. Love. It."
YES!!!!
This makes the single a success to me already. Everyone realizing how flawless DS is and that it's one of her best songs to date
