I was going to invite you to participate, since I know how much you love Robyn, but I only remembered a few hours before the scores were due and I figured that didn't give you enough time.
Overall score: 6.85 High score: 10 (SupremeGoodness, Sept, Stevie, genetic fail)
Low score: 2 (lovesong, Great Username)
The lowdown: In this spiritual successor to "Tik Tok," Ke$ha sing-talks her way through a celebration of partying hard and getting high on life. Co-written with Max Martin, Dr. Luke and her mother, Pebe, and produced by Dr. Luke, it is the sixth track on Cannibal.
The vote: Receiving only two scores below 5 in the first thirty ballots, "Crazy Beautiful Life" was a solid performer headed for a finish in the top thirty. It earned another three in the final ten votes, plummeting ten spots on the countdown.
Best line: "Guess it worked out/Got here by runnin' my mouth"
Overall score: 7.02 High score: 10 (Beautiful Sinner, Passion4MyMusic, ClassicMainstream, Venus, Great Username, Muggwa, jinzo)
Low score: 1 (Yourfavefan)
The lowdown: Grittier and more aggressive than most of Pink Friday, this scatalogical hashtag rap track, produced by Bangladesh, is a victory lap for Nicki, who tells listeners that anyone who "ain't a Nicki fan [is] def' dumb." Released as the fourth single from the album, it reached the top five of the hip-hop and rap charts, as well #49 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was also named the 25th-best song of 2010 by Rolling Stone.
The vote: One of the most sharply divisive songs in the rate, "Did It On'em" received 15 scores of 9 or above and ten below 5.
Best line: "Put your number twos in the air if you did it on 'em"
Overall score: 7.01 High score: 10 (Konichiwa, Jdella11, VJoker, Great Username)
Low score: 1 (Sept, genetic fail)
The lowdown: After Taylor and ex-boyfriend John Mayer made immense efforts to avoid each other at the 2010 CMT Music Awards, she was inspired to write this energetic recap of the awkward evening. Harder rocking than most of her work, it was sent to pop radio as the fourth release from Speak Now and became her first single not to reach the top forty of the Billboard Hot 100.
The vote: Receiving only two scores below a 7 in the first twenty votes, "The Story of Us" was actually perched inside the top ten of the countdown halfway through the balloting period. Earning only three above a 7 after that, it slid all the way to #34 by the end.
Best line: "But you held your pride like you should've held me"
I didn't give that flop a 10 I gave it a 7.
