Discussion: "The Holy Quadrinity"?

Over the last few years there has been a lot of discussion/arguing over the concept of "The Holy Trinity" of Pop(Consisting of Britney Spears, Beyonce and Lady Gaga).

Over the last 1½ - 2 years though, Rihanna's career has been thriving like never before. She's been around for over 7 years now(!) and there are no signs of her career slowing down anytime soon. She doesn't have a US #1 album, but it's pretty obvious that if she were to release an album out of the holiday season, that #1 album wouldn't be hard to pull off.

Is she ready to enter the same league as the other three? If so, why/why not?

She has consistency, but she's like those yearly "now thats what i call music" hits albums. The music can't be distinguished between eras albeit Rated R and some earlier work.

Though sales wise, she's in a league of her own.

What she may lack in the US market, she makes up for WW. She's arguably bigger WW than any of the others

Basically. If Britney's music is hailed so should Rih's. Britneys earlier work is much like Rih's. They had more basis and feel. Now they both make generic **** pop, but eh, it's what sells.

Rihanna's latest era was a disappointment and she only managed to sell half of what her previous album sold, even with a HUGE single like We Found Love.

Her single sales are pretty good, and eventhough she doesn't have a number one album yet (eventhough she can get one very easily), her album sales are fairly good too. And her tour numbers aren't too bad as well. I'm guessing the only thing she's missing is a memorable performance/moment in her career. It's the only thing she's lacking that the "Trinity" has anyways.

Also, like someone mentioned previously, Rihanna lacks a memorable performance. That is VITAL.

No. She has to have a memorable performance first and a #1 album. Then she can be considered.

STOP with this 'trinity' bull****, Gaga has only been popular for four years compared to Britney & Beyonce's 12+ so including her in it makes it a joke already. There is no 'trinity'.
