Lyrically, "Americano," "The Queen" (sans that awful chorus), and "Yoü and I" are probably the best songs. Leave it to Gaga to fudge the production of some of her best work.
On the sonic side, "Marry the Night," "Bloody Mary," and the good sis "Heavy Metal Lover" are the best. Whether one category supersedes the other is not for me to decide.
Let me clarify. Its production is wonderfully schizophrenic, with the self-loathing violence that churns through the song's first two verses, and the massive, ecstatic, deluded quality of Gaga's projected Whitney figure that dazzles atop the rest, especially the final breakdown. I love the song.
Tinny synths & boring 80's feel runs it down. I'd be interested to see how great it'd be taken on more modern route.
