Yes... By a friend. It was unexpected and I was shocked. She told me to leave my two year job to work with her, and ended up firing me.

I guess that's why they say friends should never work with each other.

Nope and my current job is a joke. Unless I lose all my attendance credits or steal (LOL @ me wanting any of the ugly ass clothes) I'll never get fired.

So I'm working for this guy who sells auto parts, and I'm doing Search Engine Optimization — basically going on this website he gives me and editing descriptions of parts so that when potential customers google different products, his site comes up first and they'll buy from him.

It's pretty complicated stuff, so the first few times I met up with him, he just kind of showed me the basics, easing me into the whole process. After maybe 3 lessons, he gives me a book and some more stuff to read, sets me up with some parts and their links so that I'm good to work at home. I fill everything in; it takes maybe an hour, I save my work, and I email him letting him know that I've finished and can do more if he needs me to. Nothing.

Two days later I go on vacation to visit family for 2 or 3 days, maybe a 3 hour drive from where I live. Before I go, I shoot him another email saying that I can work from there if he tells me what to do, but that I won't be able to make or receive calls.

Again, nothing.

I come back from vacation, and the mother****er still hasn't replied to my emails or voicemail. I make sure I did in fact send everything to the right address, and call him up like "Yo, I did the work and sent you two emails. What do you want me to do now."

"Oh, well Matt... You never filled in those parts from me, and then I didn't hear from you again. I assumed you weren't interesting in doing the work."

Me:

Very awkward small-talk ensues and he hangs up shortly.

I wasn't paid ONCE, and I still have a STRONG suspicion that he hired someone else to do the work while I was on vacation.

I never gave him back that book though, so...

lol no. If you come in late or leave early you lose half an attendance credit. If you don't come in at all you lose 1. When the managers annoy me I drag them with my coworkers.

Well, I've worked in McDonalds two years ago. I quit the job to focus on my studies.

wtf.

I got fired for coming in late like twice (it was only like 10 minutes but this hoe working there snitched on me).
then I forgot to come in one day so they fired me.

I got fired for going to work drunk.

Starbucks was a terrible job though.

Nope, never. I have an amazing work record, actually.

My first job, as a housekeeper, was very flexible with my schedule. I was never late or called off. I worked there for 6 months, and ended my job on a positive note. I still see my coworkers all of the time at my current job, and they're always nice. The work just slowed down and I needed a steady job.

My second and current job, as a cashier at Home Depot, is much more stable and pays better. I've only called off 3 times in the nearly 8 months I've been there. I've only been late a few times, but that can't be helped since I'm sharing vehicles with my parents who also work in the same store. I'm very close to getting promoted. BUT they've recently fired a ton of my coworkers, including my own supervisor (for a very stupid reason; I'm still pissed). So, I don't know. Any slight mistake could result in a firing. But at the same time, I think they like me way too much and would have a hard time firing the only openly gay person they've had in that store.
