People are so dramatic these days, it's like you have to be perfect all the time.

I agree that she'll be struggling for hits. The thing is, I'm not too optimistic about her hitting this roadblock fifteen years earlier than she should be.

What I think will happen though is that she'll get massive WW hits, but not do nearly as well in the US, because this country is rather stubborn. As in... number one everywhere else, but lower top ten here.

She's released ONE video & new single since the 2011 VMAs, which flopped. The VMAs only really nominate songs that see chart success & don't bother with flops. The Yoü & I video was released within the 2012 VMA eligibility period but it was released too long ago to get attention from them & the song wasn't successful enough to garner that type of nomination. Plus, neither video was SUPER popular.Y&I was also a bigger deal at LAST YEARS VMAs. So it's already old news to them if that makes sense.


The article reaches very much. She hasn't been active for most of the 2012 eligibility period. It's not a sign that she's fading. Look at Rihanna, last year at the 2011 VMAs she was completely snubbed & this year she's like the most nominated. It changes every year.

Hold on everybody. Gaga is NOT fading. Gurl hasn't released anything new this year and just because she didn't get a VMA nomination this year doesn't mean she's fading.

Isn't this the first year that she hasn't been nominated? I don't understand why the LA times is making such a big deal about this. It is only ONE YEAR. She will most likely have nominations next year or whenever her next album is dropping.
