Basketball Players, Come Hither
I tried searching for a thread about basketball on ATRL and all that came up were hundreds of Basketball Wives threads
Basketball is a huge part of my life. I play several times a week and I'm a huge fan of both men's and women's basketball at the collegiate and professional level. I know that this is a pop music forum, so I probably will get about 2 responses but if basketball is at all a part of your life, answer these questions please :
1) Have you ever played for a team (recreational, intramural, high school, college, etc.)?
2) What position do you play? (if you just play for fun, what position do you think you'd play?)
3) What are your strengths as a player? Are you good at shooting/posting up/passing/stealing/blocking/etc.?
4) What are your weaknesses and/or things you want to improve on?
5) How often do you play and with whom?
6) What are your favorite basketball teams (college, NBA, WNBA, etc.) Who are your favorite basketball players? Do you model your game after them in any way?
7) What is the craziest and/or most impressive thing you've ever done on a basketball court?
You don't necessarily have to answer the questions separately; just answer a few of them if you want or write anything about how basketball is a part of your life. And if basketball isn't part of your life, reconsider your choices

I've only played it in P.E.
But it's much more fun to watch live than Football, at least when it came to the High School games I attended Junior and Senior Year (I went to football games during all four years, but Basketball Games I didn't start going to during Junior year)
I think it's tough to find someone on here that plays basketball or any sport. But I think britney Spears played a little bit of basketball when she was a little kid.

I totally agree about it being more fun to watch. I find most other major sports really boring to watch (football, baseball, golf, hockey, even soccer) with a few exceptions. Close basketball games are the best
And I figured this thread would flop

Yeah
But I literally can only watch it live in person. It's not really my thing for watching sports on TV. Besides, some of the guys on my High School's team were sexy

I play for my school team. Defense is my best area. I play 1 1/2 hours on school days. My weakness is probably dribbling, and MANU GINOBILLI >>>>>>>>

I created a thread too, but it flopped. I'm a female so I don't know if I count, but I played for rec starting at age 5 and I played all throughout high school.
I play mainly SG but can sometimes slide over to the one. In other words Im a combo guard. My strengths would probably be perimeter shooting and slashing, dribble penetration, and my defense. Even though I'm undersized for a defender, I play smart and have quick hands.
My favorite team is the Boston Celtics. Ive been a fan of them my entire life. I've never been the one to really watch NCAA, but if I had to choose a favorite team it'd be Kentucky or Tennessee. My top 5 current players are: Rajon Rondo, Kevin Garnett, Kevin Durant, Serge Ibaka, and Paul Pierce. It used to be Dwight Howard and Ray Allen, but thryve been on some other **** this off-season and they're currently on my **** list. I do like Derrick Rose for his character, but I feel like he can be slightly overrated. I HATE the Miami Heat and I feel like Chris Paul and Dwyane.Wade are whiny floppers.

I love Bball. Lemme rush through this, i'll come back later to bump it + post more.
Played since i was like, in diapers, played for my HS team, and i'd love to join the Uni team too (the coach even talked to me about it) but i really don't have the time for training and shi.t.
Except for weekends. But thats practice mostly w/my friends. Point Guard.
Fav Team? Miami Heat. (Shame on you, Kay.Bee by the way )

yes for this thread.
If I wasn't in the band, I'd probably be playing basketball on a team. I don't play it as much as I want to

I play basketball for fun sometimes. ATRL is not the right place to ask this though.

Manu Ginobili is amazing. I love some of crazy moves and passes.
Dribbling I'd say is one of the easiest things that you'll naturally improve on as you play
I was cheering for the Spurs this year (at least unless they were playing against my beloved Lakers)...what happened to them during the playoffs? They were so impressive all year despite their age and then...

Of course you count if you're a female! I'm actually a huge women's basketball fan, both college and WNBA. I'm a UConn fan so I hate Tennessee with a burning passion You sound like a great player! Do you think you'd want to play in college?
I like the Celtics, even though I am a Lakers fan They're really gritty and tough out physical games. I wanted them to beat the Heat so bad this year
I totally know what you mean about Ray Allen being on your ****list. I was SO ****ING LIVID when he signed with the Heat. He's always been one of my favorite players (like top three) but him joining my least favorite team just ruined everything
Wade is definitely a whiny flopper Haven't seen enough of Chris Paul to judge, but I trust your judgment
