I actually don't think it's that bad. I mean, as a comeback single it's underwhelming but it tried to be something new. Idk, the X singles aren't BAD but not good... they should start leaving around now too. The One should be next.
The next three eliminations have me fuming. I'm going to put them all together so as not to lose it. But obviously people like DrownedWorld and berberocka are tasteless, classless individuals.
The most tens so far, and with good reason. Absolute perfection, and a case can be made that this is Kylie's finest vocal - such an interpretation she gives. Singlehandedly gave her the credibility to go and down what she would do ... well, up to this point.
As it was a duet with favorite son (and strong candidate for greatest Australian musician alive) Nick Cave, it went to number two down under.
What in the actual ****? Three fantastic tracks out too early.
I realize some people probably didn't appreciate the '80s-ness of "Turn It Into Love" and "Je Ne Sais Pas Porquoi," but what excuse can you have for not liking "Where the Wild Roses Grow"?
Also can we discuss how amazing the choruses of "Turn Into Love" and "Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi" are?
They're just on point. Right doses of campy, sadness, yearning.
That was what SAW did best.
I want to get out of the sevens entirely, so we have a few more to get through.

It was an "interesting" culture, musically, in the mid90s Britain. The two predominant sensations were BritPop - Oasis, Blur, Pulp, Manic Street Preachers - and Brit Pop - namely, five girls named Spice. Kylie had sort of (for the time being) aged out of the latter, and was trying to attain credibility, so she found herself drifting towards the former. All the indie boys who grew up with pictures of Kylie on their walls, loved this of course.
Manic Street Preachers had wanted to work with Kylie earlier, but couldn't get their schedules synced; they ended up using Traci Lords, of all people (if you don't know her, Google Search - but you should probably have the Family Filter on) as a replacement. Kylie and MSP finally got together, and they together co-wrote two songs that would ultimately make her album Impossible Princess.
The lesser of the two was chosen to front the album. It became her first flop in the UK, missing the top twenty.
It did, however, get her play on cool Aussie stations.
"Some Kind of Bliss" is an interesting song. I like the mishmash of sounds and styles. There's not a lot going on lyrically, but it's got a nice relaxing vibe.
The redheaded stepchild of the Light Years singles, Please Stay seems to be forgotten by fans (who wanted Butterfly or Your Disco Needs You) and Kylie alike. Even though she co-wrote it, Kylie's only included it - fully - into one of her post 2000 tours. It wasn't even on the Light Years tour!
Fun Fact: The plot of the video is directly taken from **** - except every sex scene has been replaced with dancing.
