I mean, it peaked at #31 and it's now at #134
It's a consistent pop album with a solid lead single and she performed it on a popular talk show(although they broadcasted the worst performance, but at least it promoted Primadonna).
So why do you think it flopped? Is it because Marina was an indie artist for her first album, or do you think it needed more promo?

Jimmy Kimmel is not that popular and it aired at the end of a boring show at 1AM... on like a Monday or something too.

But it needed more promo to answer your question. It could still do well if she can get a single going.

Not surprising... She's not that well known in the US and doesn't really have a single that the casual music listener would know.

I personally never thought it was going to be this super successful album.
The singles got messy after Primadonna, so that's probably why.

It had basically NO major promotion whatsoever. People here don't know who Marina is.

And it's terrible. So...

How To Be A Heartbreaker could break the mold, she just needs to promote it right.
